The tour of Alcatraz departs daily from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. Alcatraz was used as a federal maximum security prison from 1934 until 1963, when it was closed due to high costs and security issues. Allowing tourists to visit Alcatraz has proven far more popular and much more profitable.

So, for example, if you know you want to see Alcatraz, by clicking on "Alcatraz Tours" under the Tour & Activity Types, you will then see a brief summary of each tour that goes to Alcatraz. Click on the summaries that sound interesting, and you can read the full description for the tour.
